This article provides a detailed literature review of existing frameworks for writing AI prompts for teaching students. The article proposes a practical model for designing AI learning activities, demonstrates its association with the principles of constructive alignment and describes three case studies for using the PROSE model in higher education.

The PROSE model (Persona, Rubric, Objective, Steps, Examples) outlines how to create AI prompts from existing course content and materials based on recommended practices of constructive alignment.
