Teaching and learning in the United States, particularly in the South, are shaped by intersecting sociopolitical forces, including legacies of racial segregation, linguistic exclusion, and systemic ableism. The South is home to 54 % of the Black population and one-third of the nation's English Language Learners. Educators and students face barriers related to health, identity, inclusion, curricula, and performance__challenges rooted in federal, state, and local policies. This narrative inquiry uses a multidimensional theoretical framework grounded in Humanism and Social Learning Theory to reimagine educational leadership, andragogy, and pedagogy as liberatory, relational, and justice-centered practices. These insights underscore the preliminary results that center equity and human dignity.
