Are you curious how you can integrate social and emotional learning into your courses? This session will provide a comprehensive approach to integrating Transformative Social and Emotional Learning (TSEL) into higher education, specifically in educator preparation programs, though applicable across disciplines. Presenters will share strategies for embedding TSEL at the program level, including routines for faculty, staff, and administrators; modeling CASEL’s Three Signature Practices in coursework; and partnering with university supervisors using an SEL-focused observation protocol. Grounded in Oregon’s HB 2166 and aligned with K-12 state SEL standards, this demonstration highlights practical tools, such as sample activities, book club texts, and reflection protocols, that support equity-based SEL capacity-building. Participants will leave with concrete strategies to foster SEL-rich learning environments.
