Sat, April 11, 11:45am to 1:15pm PDT (11:45am to 1:15pm PDT), Los Angeles Convention Center, Floor: Level Two, Room 306A

Abstract

This study explores the life of a teacher in Sindh, Pakistan. Using a biological research approach and qualitative methods, this study examines how her life experiences and challenges in a patriarchal learning environment shaped her work, achievements, and influenced the community. Her life experiences explore how parents restrict girls from education, while a woman illustrates another aspect of this system, where a nurtured woman contributes to the community. The findings reveal that an individual can change the world of education for girls into a learning environment by fostering trust within the community. That way, she empowers women to prepare them for the future to lead their communities without opposing the ingrained systems of society.
