How do we learn from our mothers, regenerating knowledge and pedagogy to support our being and doing as Asian American and Asian Diaspora teacher educators? Through this critical counter-narrative study, we set out to rememory our mothers by collecting artifacts and stories told by our mothers. As this museum of mothers progressed, we realized that these artifacts and memories not only represented who our mothers were and their resistance to different forms of oppression but also how they have profoundly shaped who we are as Asian American and Asian Diaspora teacher educators. As we trace our journey to teaching and research, we share our mother-informed humanizing pedagogy in our teacher education praxis, building resilience and regenerating knowledge for human liberation.
