Abstract

‘Just Crushing: A Demolition Derby’ a mixed-methods, arts-based educational research study that explores what happens when adolescents collaborate to produce and share public artwork about a social or controversial issue and how participation in a public, civically engaged art project influences Eastern Iowan teenagers’ interest and capacity to participate in political discussions about topics that matter to them.
