This paper explores the literary tradition of the chronicle, a multidisciplinary collection reflecting cultural elements of Southeast Asian societies like Laos, Thailand, Myanmar, and Cambodia, found in texts such as textbooks and historical documents. Highlighting its interdisciplinary and interactive qualities, we show how this indigenous tradition can support community epistemology and Culturally Responsive School Leadership. Specifically, the chronicle helps school leaders develop culturally responsive curricula and engage students in their communities. As a leadership tool, the chronicle emphasizes the assets and wisdom of Asian diasporic peoples to support, know, and lead Asian youth and communities, fostering better understanding of their histories and futures. This expands tools for school leaders to promote humanizing, culturally responsive leadership.
