“Keep These Histories Alive!”: Harnessing Socially Conscious Art to Reimagine Ethnic Studies

Abstract

This qualitative case study employed Critical Professional Development (CPD) to examine the ways in which arts-based learning might be harnessed to improve K-12 Ethnic Studies. This study includes the reflections of six pre-service teachers, who indicated that their involvement in the CPD positively impacted their teaching practices.
