In writing this paper, we reflect on our experiences of co-developing and co-teaching a new graduate seminar focused on education futurities. We describe the frameworks that we drew upon to develop this course and recount Indigenous and decolonial perspectives regarding the four concepts – time, knowledge, bodies, and space/place – that grounded our collective (re)imagining of Kahiki. Through it all, we consider how this experience opened up space for us to break down colonial mental models, to remake connections between the past and present, and to dream hopeful possibilities for our education futures.
