This study examines a STEAM-based pedagogical model that integrates makerspace technologies, including animatronics and AI tools, into a teacher preparation program to promote culturally responsive teaching. Conducted at a Hispanic-Serving Institution with predominantly minoritized preservice teachers, the project centered on integrating Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) arts and histories into K-12 curricula. By combining arts integration, Universal Design for Learning, and (re)constructive history framework, the project promoted technological literacy, interdisciplinary lesson design, and inclusive pedagogy. Using a design-based research approach, data from artifacts, lesson plans, and reflections were thematically analyzed. Findings revealed increased cultural competence, collaboration, and self-efficacy. This work contributes to digital equity, multicultural STEAM education, and the evolving role of animatronics in education and inclusive curriculum development.
