This systematic literature review examines generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) integration in art education from 2019-2025. Following PRISMA guidelines, comprehensive database searches yielded 580 articles, with 23 studies meeting inclusion criteria. The review investigates GenAI tools, pedagogical applications, and impacts across K-12, higher education, and community contexts. Findings reveal significant adoption growth post-2024, with applications including creative production, pedagogical innovation, and cultural education. Common tools include ChatGPT and diffusion models, demonstrating positive impacts on student engagement, creative self-efficacy, and critical thinking. This research provides evidence-based recommendations for educators integrating GenAI in art education.
