Abstract

This study investigates how middle school mathematics teachers integrate generative AI tools into their lesson planning and teaching, using the Intelligent-TPACK (I-TPACK) framework. Conducted as collaborative action research with two teachers over eight weeks, data were collected through reflective journals and interviews, then analyzed thematically across five I-TPACK dimensions. Findings show teachers improved prompt-writing skills, adapted AI-generated content to curricula, shifted toward student-centered pedagogy, and used AI as a supportive teaching assistant. Ethical concerns about accuracy and reliability were consistently emphasized. The study highlights both opportunities and challenges in AI integration, recommending that teacher education programs embed generative AI literacy, ethical awareness, and collaborative practice to support effective and responsible use.
