Joteando en el Valle: Drag pedagogy as a playground of Resistance Through QT Joy

Abstract

The academy enforces colonial logics that fragment the mindbodyspirit, negating queer, trans, joto ways of knowing and being from entering the classroom. I refuse dismemberment by grounding epistemology in performance, drag pedagogy, and embodied wisdom. This queer plática embraces drag pedagogy as a mechanism for queering education, offering joy, possibility, and (re)membering of self.
