Session Type: Symposium
This session brings together eight ethnically and generationally diverse Asian/American leaders with varied experiences in leadership roles in both PK-12 and higher education. While diverse in our experiences, all of us identify as equity-conscious leaders. Each of us reflects on the realities of leading in the post-2024 context as Asian/American leaders and scholars, including “what’s next” for the field as we radically reconsider what it means to lead in contested times. We situate our lived and professional experiences from a variety of approaches and interpretive frameworks. We will engage the audience in critical discussion about the need for revolutionizing leadership in these trying times, offering implications for our collective and individual praxis.
