Session Type: Symposium
In times of difficulties and crises as we are now experiencing, healing collectively and individually has become our ultimate priority. As three important pillars of philosophies and spiritualities in Asian cultures, Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism have profound knowledge, wisdom, intrinsic links and practices of healing. However, the healing energy and its educational significances in the broader contexts of Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism is not yet be given the center stage. Our proposed symposium intends to synergize our collective energies to develop our resilience and create a space for this strength-based, community-based, and experience-based restorative approach of healing in education. We will explore and investigate the healing power and its educational significances regarding both theory and practices, curriculum and pedagogy.
