Session Type: Structured Poster Session
Democracy in the United States is both imperfect and imperiled. Our structured poster session asks what teachers, teacher educators, and researchers can do to promote and improve democracy in the current social and political context. Presenters address this question from a variety of perspectives including promoting democratic habits of mind, challenging long-held assumptions about education, seeking justice for marginalized groups, and defending against authoritarian assaults on education.
