Session Type: Structured Poster Session
This session positions PK–12 educators, especially Black, Latino, and Native American teachers, as critical policy actors. Through three interactive poster discussions and a reflective gallery walk, we identify barriers to educator engagement, explore scalable models for sustainable policy participation, and co-create strategies to institutionalize teacher voice in education decision-making. Grounded in feminist and liberatory pedagogy, this participatory session honors lived experience as data and emphasizes educator expertise in policy design. Attendees will engage with visual artifacts, Padlet reflections, and QR-linked resources, resulting in a collective call to action to shift educational policy from top-down to inclusive and responsive.
