Session Type: Symposium
This symposium explores a global, interdisciplinary, and inter-institutional initiative to reimagine collaborative learning and engagement in the 21st century. Drawing on ongoing partnerships between Alabama State University (an HBCU), United States International University–Africa (USIU–Kenya), University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), and the American Association of Colleges and Universities (AAC&U), panelists will examine strategies for building virtual and hybrid platforms that foster equity, inclusion, and innovation across disciplinary, geographic, cultural, and institutional boundaries within an anti-colonial framework guided by multi-vocality, relationality, and accountability. This session speaks to the AERA themes of global educational justice, and transformative pedagogies connected to imagining the future of continental and diaspora relationships and collaborations.
