Session Type: Symposium
This symposium brings together researchers and educators to explore research-practice partnerships for innovations in teacher learning. The six presentations in this session examine collaborative partnerships to advance teachers’ professional development and support the implementation of curriculum materials. They illustrate how various research-practice partnership approaches can be used to design personalized teaching practice spaces, facilitate the implementation of a place-based science curriculum, and support the adoption of new K-12 mathematics standards. The symposium concludes with a moderated discussion on cross-sector collaboration and the potential of envisioning the possibilities for teaching and meeting teachers’ learning needs through innovative and practical approaches.
