Session Type: Structured Poster Session
This structured poster session discusses how early career math education scholars work towards solidarity when conducting research with marginalized communities that we are a part of or connected to and care deeply about. The session brings together eight early career math education scholars from the Equity in Math Education Research Grants program to reflect on the tensions and possibilities and highlight how they inform our shared work and relational responsibilities to these communities. We seek to re-envision what it could look like to do math education equity research with marginalized communities. The session consists of a brief introduction to the program, a structured rotation of poster presentations, and time at the end for larger audience discussion.
