Session Type: Roundtable Session
This panel brings together diverse scholars reimagining graduate programs through imagining futures for a new research vision. Panelists will share papers demonstrating how critical scholars center critical studies in education while addressing 21st century challenges at the intersections of social justice and sustainability. Their scholar-activist research and teaching responds to three key questions: How do we resist authoritarian fascist pressures that erase histories, deny science, and control higher education while imagining futures? What can we learn from ontologies, epistemologies, and methodologies that center diverse, often-ignored planetary wisdoms? What kind of futures might we collectively build toward new visions for education research? Each author explores these themes through their commitment to transformative scholarship in education.
