Session Type: Symposium
This session explores teacher well-being and experiences of victimization across China, Morocco, Türkiye, the U.S., Greece, and South Korea. Four presentations examine (1) narrative identity reconstruction following victimization among South Korean teachers; (2) victimization and burnout using the healthy context paradox in U.S. schools; (3) positive school climates promoted by collective efficacy in Greek schools with higher teacher victimization; and (4) cross-national variations in teacher victimization and support networks across China, Morocco, Türkiye, and the U.S. Together, these studies highlight cross-national patterns in teacher victimization, explore paradoxical effects of school climate on burnout, provide insights into narrative identity reconstruction, and underscore the role of collective efficacy, offering targeted implications for enhancing teacher resilience and school climates internationally.
