Session Type: Symposium
This symposium explores how large-scale longitudinal analyses and successful interventions reduce educational inequalities affecting vulnerable students as part of the REVERS-ED project, funded by the European Commission’s Horizon Europe program. Drawing on literature reviews, cohort studies, longitudinal trajectories and multi-country analyses of schools, it identifies trends in educational inequalities in Europe and provides data on successful interventions that contribute to overcoming educational inequalities. The session sheds light on how these interventions contribute to improved learning outcomes and better school coexistence. The findings aim to inform educational policy by identifying equity-oriented strategies that are replicable in different contexts within and beyond Europe. This work advances the field’s understanding of how to foster inclusive systems that ensure quality education for all.
