Dare Everything: Love Letters to Educational Leaders During an Era of 47

Abstract

This praxis-directed session presents a series of three co-authored papers–Love Letters to Educational Leaders–written to critically respond to the fascist attacks launched by this 47th presidential administration. The genesis of the papers occurred at the onset of the new administration when the authors gathered to discuss collectively supporting the pain, panic, and confusion that many were experiencing. The creation and dissemination of the three love letters through an educational leadership open-source publication and web series offer examples of how public scholarship can reach audiences beyond the academy during a time of crisis in ways relevant to the here and now.
