Abstract

The Teaching and Learning Research Methods (TLRM) SIG is focused on the teaching and learning of research methods (i.e., statistics, quantitative, qualitative, action, and mixed methods research). The business meeting will start with an overview of the TLRM SIG's status and initiatives, including introducing the new officers. From there, Drs. Anastasia Kitsantas and Timothy Cleary will present on how they incorporated self-regulated learning in their new textbook, "Essentials of Research Methods for Educators," and lead a discussion about how this pedagogical framework can be applied when teaching research methods. The meeting will conclude with a book raffle for those who are present. All students, instructors, and researchers interested in research methods are welcome to join this session!
