Session Type: Paper Session
This session explores a variety of factors that inform students' resilience and persistence. The studies employ large-scale quantitative, qualitative, mixed methods, and cross-cultural methodological approaches while drawing from a range of contexts, including first-generation college students navigating major changes and investigating an intervention supporting underrepresented students in STEM. Together, the studies consider how to foster inclusive academic environments and institutional practices that support students in their academic pursuits.
