Abstract

This session invites dialogue on designing equitable and inclusive technology-supported learning. Papers examine AI cognitive scaffolds for English language development students, factors influencing teachers' AI and Internet of Things integration quality, K-8 virtual teachers' ability-based biases in engagement and differentiation, culturally-relevant computational literacy programs for historically minoritized youth, and demographic factors shaping chatbot use equity in MOOCs. How do we address unconscious biases in technology-mediated instruction? What design principles support culturally sustaining pedagogy? When do socioeconomic and regional factors create barriers or opportunities? Join conversations about transformative professional development, learner-centered design, and technology that serves all students equitably.
