Session Type: Paper Session
Taking up Division K’s theme and metaphorical connections to gardening and cultivation, research deans of college and schools of education will engage in discussion of the current state and ways we might reimagine what it means to conduct research that translates into effective preparation and practice for educators, children, and communities to experience belonging and wholeness. Like gardening, education goes through seasons of thriving and transformation; there are also instances where pruning and patience are necessary to stimulate growth. This invited Division K VP Session will encourage participants to reconsider and recommit to intentional tending of the ever-evolving educational ecosystem to foster professional growth and inclusive educational environments for learners P-20+.
