Abstract

This poster will focus on a representative sample of ten states to better understand the relationship between the states’ requirements for civic education and the funding given by the states to fulfill their commitment to prepare children for civic life. In order to do so, this study will answer the following research questions: (1) What are the state level requirements for civic education? (2) Do the states provide specific funding for civic education? (3) What is the relationship between civic education requirements and funding?
