Session Type: Paper Session
This vice-presidential symposium explores the implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) across the education ecosystem through four interconnected perspectives. It opens with frameworks for AI deployment in public agencies, emphasizing compliance, readiness, and security to preserve public trust. The second presentation examines AI in assessment development, highlighting both its potential and the challenges it poses regarding fairness, cultural relevance, and human oversight. The third focuses on K–12 STEM teacher adoption, showing how district policies, professional learning, and leadership shape equitable GenAI integration. The final paper presents innovative uses of AI to analyze coherence across K–12 curricula, postsecondary pathways, and workforce needs. Collectively, the session offers leaders and policymakers evidence-based strategies for responsible AI adoption that promote educational equity and systemic alignment.
