Session Type: Business Meeting
The Access, Detracking, and Tracking SIG Business Meeting provides members and interested scholars an opportunity to connect, share current research, and shape the SIG’s direction for the coming year. The meeting will include updates from SIG leadership, discussion of ongoing and emerging research on access and opportunity structures, and plans for collaborative initiatives that advance equity-focused scholarship. Participants will reflect on recent policy debates and empirical work related to detracking, placement reform, and systemic barriers to rigorous coursework. The session invites both established and early-career researchers to engage in dialogue about how to strengthen the SIG’s contributions to AERA and the broader field of education research centered on access and equity.
