Abstract
The Research Focus on Black Education (RFBE) Special Interest Group invites members to our 2025 Business Meeting to reflect on our theme, To Go Back and Retrieve: Fugitive Histories and Black Educational Futures. This meeting will highlight the SIG’s ongoing commitment to advancing research that centers Black educational experiences, thought traditions, and liberatory practices. We will review SIG initiatives, celebrate member achievements, and outline our programming for the upcoming year—including webinars, writing collectives, and mentorship opportunities. Members are encouraged to bring ideas for strengthening our scholarly community and sustaining an intellectual home grounded in Black epistemologies, methodologies, and pedagogies.
