Session Type: Paper Session
This session brings together critical examinations of racism, language, and power within educational contexts. The first paper surveys anti-racism scholarship in academic journals during a time of global polycrisis, offering insight into how systemic inequities are addressed across disciplines. The second paper foregrounds the resistance of Asian-American students to raciolinguistic ideologies that attempt to marginalize their identities. Complementing these studies, the third paper gives voice to Kurdish scholars navigating the erosion of academic freedom in Turkey.
