Session Type: Invited Speaker Session
This panel brings together scholars whose work explores the intersections of race, ability, and teacher education through frameworks such as DisCrit, Black feminist thought, and critical disability studies. Panelists will explore the process of unlearning racialized and ableist logics that influence educational policy, practice, and teacher preparation. Through dialogue across theory, emotion, and praxis, they will consider how educators can develop intersectional consciousness, create inclusive learning environments, and reimagine teaching as a collective liberation project. The session invites participants to reflect on the importance of unlearning as essential to building anti-racist and anti-ableist educational communities.
