Session Type: Roundtable Session
This session will explore the deep connection between Indigenous histories and their potential to transform our collective futures. Based on the 2026 AERA Presidential Program Theme, "Unforgetting Histories and Imagining Futures," speakers will examine how understanding past injustices, cultural stories, and traditional knowledge can shape current educational practices and policies. Participants will consider their own disciplinary and methodological approaches as we work together to develop new research frameworks that honor Indigenous histories and empower marginalized voices.
