Session Type: Roundtable Session
This session explores mentoring approaches that develop teachers’ professional identity, practical skills, and reflective habits. Papers examine peer mentoring that builds narrative agency among novice language teachers; targeted guidance for pre-service teachers of English as a Second Language; rural educators’ perspectives on preparation and ongoing support for transitioning from teacher to mentor; and relationship-centered dialogue that sustains care, resilience, and scholarly growth. Presenters share concrete strategies that attendees can adapt to coursework, clinical placements, and school-based induction.
