Session Type: Paper Session
This session explores how faculty navigate evolving pedagogical landscapes that integrate career readiness, interdisciplinarity, and emerging technologies. Presentations investigate how educators blend durable skills and disciplinary expertise to prepare students for dynamic futures, while also examining institutional and psychological factors that shape faculty engagement with innovation. Themes of adaptation, collaboration, and identity emerge as faculty confront opportunities and anxieties surrounding artificial intelligence, cross-disciplinary teaching, and civic engagement within institutional contexts. Together, these studies highlight the dual role of faculty as both educators and scholars—advancing knowledge while modeling the critical, adaptive, and ethical competencies essential for transformative learning in a rapidly changing higher education environment.
