Session Type: Paper Session
This session examines how intersecting systems of race, disability, and culture shape educational experiences, disciplinary practices, and representations of neurodiversity. Presenters analyze exclusionary discipline, culturally responsive behavioral supports, and the framing of neurodiversity through both policy and media lenses. These studies collectively advance critical perspectives that challenge deficit-based narratives and promote equity-centered, culturally sustaining approaches to inclusion.
