Session Type: Roundtable Session
This session examines systemic inequities and anti-racist approaches within special education through critical analyses of pedagogy, policy, and professional experience. Presenters explore the implementation of culturally responsive co-teaching, the mentoring of Black male educators, and the challenges faced by immigrant and refugee families navigating special education systems. These studies offer pathways toward transformative, equity-centered practices that challenge structural inequities and affirm the cultural and professional identities of all stakeholders in education.
