AERA Second Language Research (SLR) SIG Business Meeting

Abstract

At our SLR SIG’s annual business meeting, the leadership team will update members on the SIG’s activities and programming over the past year, including webinars, events, and initiatives that advance critical language education and membership belonging. We will celebrate community achievements, presenting our awards: Leadership Through Research, Mid-Career, Outstanding Dissertation, and the Critical Language Education Seed Research Award. The meeting will also provide space for networking, fostering connections across institutions and research interests. Members will engage in planning and discussion for next year’s programming, shaping initiatives, collaborative projects, and professional development opportunities. All members are encouraged to attend, share ideas, and contribute to the SIG’s collective vision.
