Abstract

The hidden curriculum isn’t in your syllabus but you can still crack the code! The Grad School Escape Room transforms the challenges of doctoral life into an interactive adventure where participants race the clock, solve clues, and unlock the unwritten rules of academia. In this team-based escape room, you’ll navigate the twists and turns of graduate school life while decoding dilemmas about research, mentorship, publishing, and balance and learning about how AERA resources and connections can clue you along the way. Each solved mystery brings you one step closer to the ultimate escape: thriving in academia without losing yourself in it.
