Session Type: Paper Session
This session examines how systemic pressures are rapidly redefining the role of educators. We analyze teacher perspectives on crisis response mandates (active shooter training), the lasting impact of rapid pandemic policy shifts on teacher candidates, and global policies creating raciolinguistic gatekeeping in hiring. Collectively, these papers provide a critical look at teacher experiences and the urgent need for equitable policy reform.
