Session Type: Roundtable Session
Teacher preparation programs and students’ philosophies of teaching play a vital role in how they will structure their future classroom and in how they understand classroom management. This session will discuss the role that teachers play in causing classroom (mis)management and how it contributes to school discipline. Additionally, the presenters will examine how teacher behaviors in the classroom are shaped by their own understanding of teaching, their engagement with technology, their teacher preparation program, and their ability to engage with students.
