Abstract

At its Business Meeting, the Paulo Freire SIG celebrates 20 years since its creation, reflecting on the past and present of educational research in the Americas and the relevance of Freire's thought in the face of contemporary challenges. As a keynote speaker, we will have Professor Ana Cruz, who was part of the creation of the SIG, discussing with the current SIG Officers and members the historical context of the SIG's creation. The panel will be followed by a reception with drinks and snacks.
