Sat, April 23, 11:30am to 1:00pm PDT (11:30am to 1:00pm PDT), San Diego Convention Center, Exhibit Hall B

Abstract

The purpose of the proposal is to explore the experiences of Vietnamese international graduate students in American higher education through a postcolonial perspective. It seeks to understand in what ways they were able to create a third space of enunciation to develop themselves personally and academically. We analyze the students’ lived experiences in seeking possibilities for the educational experiences of Vietnamese graduate students in specific and all international students from developing countries in the Southern Hemisphere in American higher education.
