Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) includes several methods that credential learning experiences outside the traditional academic environment, which includes on the job work experience, service learning experiences, training, and non-traditional methods of learning for college-level learning (Klein-Collins, 2010; Travers: 2012, 2015). Adult learners pursuing a college degree often bring professional competencies, skills, and knowledge commensurate with college-level learning. Our method, using non-course matching block credit PLA approach, integrated Bloom’s taxonomy into a portfolio to evaluate work-life learning and non-collegiate training. Results from the multiple regression analysis revealed a high R^2 = 96.9% and adjusted R^2 = 96.7%, a root mean square error .76, Average PLA credit award was 12 hours, and n=349.
