This paper explores post-pandemic educational futures using futures and social inquiry analyses. 141 trends associated with COVID-19 impacts provide data for this study using dynamical social systems analyses. Driven by existing challenges and opportunities associated with post-pandemic times to create more equitable, inclusive and sustainable education futures, research questions are driven by (1) exploration of the knowledge, skills and mindsets required to thrive in post-pandemic times;(2) expanding opportunities for informal learning; and (3) emerging metaphors for education. Seizing post-pandemic opportunities for rethinking education provides insights into radical transformation of public education.
