Intercultural Meaning-Making Competence and Identity Negotiation of Sexual-Minority Female Students in Ecological Environmental Systems

Abstract

Employing the constructivist grounded theory methodology, we collect and analyze data from nine sexual minority female (SMF) university students. We find they utilize intercultural meaning-making competence (IMMC) to alter their identity development in response to three different ecological environment systems (i.e. student club, university, and society).
