"My Entire Support System for Graduate School": Black Students' Experiences in a McNair Scholars Program

Abstract

Positioning community cultural wealth as a theoretical framework (Yosso, 2005), we sought to understand Black student experiences in the McNair Scholars Program at three institutions. In this study, we highlighted the McNair Scholars Program as a form of capital that helps Black students with their graduate school aspirations.
