Thu, April 21, 8:00 to 9:30am PDT (8:00 to 9:30am PDT), San Diego Convention Center, Exhibit Hall B

Abstract

Drawing on the dynamic componential model of creativity (DCMC), this study examined how school-level factors (i.e., colleague innovation, collaborative teaching, decision making, and school resources) influence teacher performance in cultivating student creativity. A total of 7,187 teachers in China completed an online questionnaire. Results of the structural equation modeling reveal that colleague innovation had the strongest association with teaching for creativity, followed by collaborative teaching and school resources. Decision making was negatively related to teaching for creativity.
